The Barbara Trenchard Foundation was established in 2004 to provide four year college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated superior academic performance and financial need.

Barbara Trenchard was a joy to be around, always full of life and energy. She died from breast cancer on June 14, 2004. She freely volunteered her time to school and other community activities. One of her goals was to eventually set up a scholarship fund and that has been accomplished.

The Barbara Trenchard Foundation is a non-profit corporation with all work performed on a volunteer basis so that nearly 100% of donations go into the scholarship fund. The foundation awards four year scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated superior academic performance and require financial assistance to attend college.
