The Barbara Trenchard Foundation Barbara Trenchard was a joy to be around, always full of life and energy.  She died from breast cancer on June 14, 2004.  She freely volunteered her time to school and other community activities.  One of her goals was to eventually set up a scholarship fund and that has been accomplished.

Applications

Graduating seniors from West Texas and Southeast New Mexico high schools are eligible to apply for The Barbara Trenchard Foundation scholarship. Winkler County and Andrews County students will have preference. Applications may be submitted after February 1, 2012 and closing date for applications is April 10, 2012. At least two $10,000.00 scholarships will be awarded to 2012 high school graduates.

The Barbara Trenchard Foundation was established in 2004 to provide four year college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated superior academic performance and financial need.
