2008 Scholarship Recipients
Raul Aranda, a Hobbs High School graduate, and Erin Whitemire, a Wink High School graduate, received scholarships awarded by The Barbara Trenchard Foundation in 2008. Raul is now attending the University of New Mexico and Erin is attending the Stephen F. Austin State University. 2007 Scholarship Recipients
Kendra Kerley, a Wink High School graduate, and Dalia Mendoza, a Kermit High School graduate, received scholarships awarded by The Barbara Trenchard Foundation in 2007. Kendra is now attending Baylor University and Dalia is attending Texas Woman's College. UPDATE: Kendra Kerley will be graduating early and should receive her degree in December of this year. |

Matlin Watkins, an Andrews High School graduate, and Victor Pallares, a Kermit High School graduate, received scholarships awarded by The Barbara Trenchard Foundation in 2006. UPDATE: Victor Pallares graduated from UTPB on May 8th of this year. He plans to pursue a career in teaching and would like to teach in his hometown of Kermit. UPDATE: Mattie Watkins was accepted into TTUHSC School of Nursing in 2008 and plans to pursue a career in nursing. |

Gary Henson and Yvette Granillo, both Kermit High School graduates, received the first two scholarships awarded by The Barbara Trenchard Foundation in 2005. UPDATE: Yvette Granillo is now a 2009 graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, and is the first scholarship recipient to graduate! UPDATE: Gary Henson has graduated from Angelo State University and is currently working on his Masters. |

The Barbara Trenchard Foundation will be awarding at least two $10,000.00 scholarships each year. Graduating seniors from the Permian Basin are eligible to apply. The selection committee thanks all of the outstanding applicants this year. Donations to the scholarship fund may be made to The Barbara Trenchard Scholarship Foundation, P. O. Box 799, Kermit, Texas 79745. All donations to the Barbara Trenchard Foundation are Tax Deductable. |
